About The Better Story
The Better Story is a guide for travellers and expats who want to experience more of Medellín and Colombia.
The name comes from a simple idea: your trip should leave you with a better story to tell. Not the same old stories about drugs, sex tourism, scams or getting robbed, but stories about the places you discovered, the food you tried, the people you met and the things that surprised you.
The site was created by Sebastian, who has lived in Medellín since 2018. It includes practical guides to neighbourhoods, restaurants, activities, safety, day trips and everyday life in Colombia.
The goal is not to pretend everything is perfect. It is to give honest, useful information so you can avoid common mistakes, explore beyond the obvious places and make more of your time here.
