Authorities in Colombia and the United States have arrested American dentist Ally Correa, accused of sexually exploiting minors in Medellín. He was detained in Miami in a joint operation between Colombia’s National Police and U.S. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).
Investigators say Correa traveled to Medellín at least 15 times between 2023 and 2024, contacting minors through social media and offering gifts in exchange for sexual acts. He is allegedly linked to at least five Colombian victims, aged 13 to 15.
Medellín’s mayor, Federico Gutiérrez, confirmed that explicit material involving minors was found on Correa’s cellphone. The case is part of a broader effort by Colombian and U.S. authorities to combat sexual exploitation crimes involving foreign nationals.
