Authorities in Medellín have identified an American citizen found dead in a hotel in the Belén neighborhood. The victim, 40-year-old Kristopher Carl Gromacki, was discovered on the night of March 17, 2025, after hotel staff alerted emergency services.
Witnesses at the hotel reported that they had not seen Gromacki for three days, leading investigators to believe he had been deceased for that period. His body, found in an advanced state of decomposition, was transferred to Medicina Legal on March 18 for further examination.
