Authorities in Medellín have arrested U.S. citizen Bryce Garrett Cleveland, who was wanted by Interpol for multiple fraud-related crimes committed in the United States.
The operation was carried out jointly by the National Police, Interpol Colombia, and Migración Colombia, according to Medellín’s Secretary of Security and Coexistence, Manuel Villa Mejía.
Cleveland’s capture adds to a growing list of international arrests in the city. So far in 2025, 30 individuals with Interpol red notices have been detained in Medellín.
Officials noted that similar arrests have taken place in recent weeks, including the detention of a foreign national wanted in Panama for aggravated fraud and of Jaime Alberto Madera, alias ‘Chepe’, a leader of the Clan del Golfo who was also sought by Interpol.
