Two women were killed and one person injured in a hitman-style attack around noon this Friday in the Villagrande neighborhood of Envigado, near Carrera 43A and Calle 25B Sur.
The victims were identified as María Victoria Correa, a well-known local journalist, and her sister María Nohelia Correa, aged 70 and 75. They were inside a restaurant when two armed men on a motorcycle opened fire without warning, then fled down Avenida El Poblado.
A third person was taken to a nearby hospital for emergency care. Authorities have cordoned off the area and launched operations to find those responsible.
